Come along to a free exciting cultural event celebrating the Eastern and Central European population of Sturminster Newton on Saturday June 7th at 2.30pm at The Exchange.
The afternoon will open with traditional dance from our town’s Bulgarian group who meet weekly at the Exchange. Followed by Latvian Folk Songs from Eva Šteinrēdere and friends from her Bristol Latvian choir. Both events will give the audience an opportunity to try out their dance and singing skills. Aided by a big map of Europe other members of the community will talk about the home city, town or village they left to come and settle here in Dorset.
A taste of each country’s cuisine will complete our event with time for you to mingle with and talk to those taking part.
