Each testimony follows the young men who risked their lives on the battlefield that morning and one young woman who was covertly vetted for top-secret work in Eisenhower’s Supreme HQ in Bushy Park in preparation for Operation Overlord.
Memories of what happened on the Home Front in Dorset also describe situations ranging from the comic to the tragic.
