Award winning crime writer Rachel McLean sets many of her novels in Dorset. In this talk she will outline how she researches locations in Dorset and sets the scene for a crime to take place in her books. Rachel will also highlight her latest book, The Lyme Regis Women’s Swimming Club.

The Lyme Regis Women’s Swimming Club

Meet Annie, Rosamund, Helen and Figgy. Four very different women united by a love of swimming in Lyme Regis’s beautiful bay. After a morning swim, two members of the club discover a dead body in another member’s car, which later vanishes. Did they imagine it? Or did their friend kill a man? And if there was a body, where has it gone? Without a body, there can’t have been a crime. Can’t there? But the swimming club are certain they weren’t imagining things, and there’s a murder to solve.
The question is, will solving it put their friend in prison?
